ABOUT Vet READY
Our Mission
At Vet READY©, we’re dedicated to forging a workplace culture that welcomes veterans and empowers them to thrive. Our comprehensive Certification and Training Program addresses the unique challenges and opportunities veterans bring to the workplace. We partner with employers to ensure seamless integration and maximize the potential of this valuable talent pool by equipping businesses with the tools needed to build vibrant, inclusive environments that attract and retain highly skilled veteran employees. Our program is tailored and scalable to meet the specific needs of each business we work with, ensuring that the place and environment veterans transition to is READY for them, helping employers fill gaps with high-quality veterans while enabling veterans to find their new team and purpose.
Why Vet READY©?
Current data on veterans leaving their first post-military jobs shows that job retention remains a significant challenge. Around 50% of veterans leave their first civilian job within the first year, and up to 65% leave within two years. A Pew Research Center study reveals that about 44% of post-9/11 veterans stayed in their first job for a year or less, with 20% remaining for less than six months. This high turnover rate is primarily driven by underemployment, overqualification, and burnout.
Our program tackles these alarming statistics by addressing underlying factors and creating a supportive environment where veterans feel valued and understood. Through comprehensive training in camaraderie, military-to-civilian transition challenges, mental health, and values alignment, businesses can create a work culture that encompasses the unique needs of veterans. At VET READY©, we empower employers to build vibrant, inclusive environments that attract and retain high-quality veteran employees, helping veterans find their new team and purpose.
Our Unique Approach
At Vet READY©, we believe in recognizing veterans’ unique strengths and leadership qualities and empowering them through training, development, and mentorship opportunities. Our comprehensive Certification and Training Program addresses the unique challenges and opportunities veterans bring to the workplace. We partner with employers to help them realize their responsibility to provide a supportive environment where veterans can thrive.
Our tailored, scalable program not only equips businesses with the tools needed to build vibrant, inclusive environments that attract and retain highly skilled veteran employees but also enhances their reputation as veteran-friendly organizations. By aligning veterans’ skills with positions that match their purpose, we foster a sense of fulfillment and success in the workplace, leading to increased productivity and employee satisfaction. Additionally, our training emphasizes camaraderie, military-to-civilian transition challenges, mental health, and values alignment, ensuring veterans feel supported at every step.
By addressing these alarming statistics, Vet READY© empowers employers to build a thriving workplace culture that welcomes veterans and helps them find their new team and purpose.

Mr. Nordel visited Adams State University to deliver a Keynote and two workshops for both students and employees of the university. Not only was the speech informative but it was also incredibly fun and engaging. Nearly all of the participants stayed behind to discuss items from the presentations or topics relating to it; and the workshops were no different. Every participant had ideas to share or questions so they could learn more about the topics being discussed. We would love to have Mr. Nordel back again in the future!
